Club results roundup – 28 & 29 October 2017

Milton AFC 3-0 Broomhouse

Scorers: Grieve, Watt, Whiteford

Milton 2003 Reds 4-1 Cowie Utd

Another convincing victory with a controlled display against Cowie Utd.

Cowie took the lead from a strong shot from outside of the box. The goal came against the run of play after some good early pressure from Milton. The home team were back on level terms within a few minutes of going behind after a long shot from Josh S ended up in the net and made it 2-1 through Cammy J soon after. Milton continued to create chances but couldn’t add to their lead before the half time whistle.

The second half was more of the same from the home team who continued to control the game and create chances after the break. Cowie made it difficult for Milton to break them down but Josh S added his second and Miltons third to give the home team a bit of breathing space mid way through the half.

Josh S bagged his second hat trick in 7 days to make it 4-1 with 20 minutes left to play. The conditions didn’t allow Milton to play the flowing football they like to play but another good solid team performance with all players available for selection playing their part in today’s win.

Scorers: Josh S (3), Cammy

Next game – home tie against Westfield Colts 4/10/17

Milton 2004 FV 4-1 Falkirk 2004

Milton 2005 4-1 Stenhousemuir

The match was played in very windy conditions. Stirling Albion got this advantage in the first half and Milton got it in the second. The boys started very sluggish in the first half and we struggled to deal with the ball coming in high at us in the first half with Stirling creating a couple of good chances.

A good defensive performance in the second half enabled us to play out well from the back and begin to dominate play in the middle of the pitch and create lots of chances. Well done to Stirling who played well. The boys are beginning to try some of the things we have been working on in training, we just need to be a bit calmer when in possession of the ball.

Milton 2009

Team 1
The team started off with a couple of tough games but showed they can knuckle down when need be. 4 games, 4wins, 4great performances. Good to see Jay down supporting his friends even though the doctor has stood him down for a few weeks due to a head knock. 5 weeks left of 5-a-sides.

Team 2
Well done guys just keep practicing.
